According to the Official Charts Company, Avicii’s Wake Me Up joins 139 other singles to have sold over 1 million copies. This is an impressive achievement in and of itself for any artist, but coming from an EDM artist it’s more impressive and staggering than ever. With Wake Me Up, Avicii is setting the precedence that ultimately, it is possible for EDM artists to top charts, not only in their own genre, but in the music industry overall.
