Pop and dance music have been nearly impossible to separate ever since the age of disco. Its capability to appeal to people of all demographics with undeniably catchy melodies is what fuels this fusion of genres. Most recently, artists like David Guetta and Zedd have dominated the dance/pop charts with some of the biggest hits the world has ever heard.

As a result of the ongoing success between DJ’s and pop artists, Billboard found it necessary to release their top ten dance-pop collaborations of all time. It’s a pretty solid list with hits from Morgan Page, Simian Mobile Disco, Skrillex, and the stellar collaboration between MSTRKRFT and John Legend, “Heartbreaker“. As we near the top of the list, Moby’s single with Gwen Stefani and Calvin Harris’s smash “We Found Love” maintain slot four and three. However, it’s no surprise that Guetta won the #1 slot with his pop anthem, “When Love Takes Over”, that eventually went platinum in nine countries!

Truth be told, I’m not the biggest fan of these types of records but I think the list does a great job accounting for a variety of works and collaborations that have taken place. Check it out below and let us know what you think!
