Even after all the hype, it’s rather amazing how much Avicii’s new album TRUE has already accomplished. Just reported today by Billboard, TRUE came in on their Top 200 in 5th position after selling 50,000 copies, 91% of which were downloads. Those are the greatest sales figures for any EDM artist’s first studio album. Currently sitting at number 6 in iTunes’ US store and averaging 4th in Europe, TRUE is performing outstandingly well for an album that’s already been released for a week.
