The New York City medical examiner has now ruled that both Electric Zoo deaths were caused by MDMA or Ecstasy. Olivia Rotondo, 20, and Jeffrey Russ, 23, died because of an MDMA or Ecstasy overdose combined with hyperthermia as reported by the Associated Press yesterday. The tragedy that struck our scene has had a rippling out effect on the East Coast, with event cancellations due to promoters and venues fearing another Molly caused death.

When lives are cut short, it is tragic. But if politicians really cared about the lives of its citizens, then they’d pay taxi cab drivers to drive drunk people home instead of letting them drive. Maybe they’d even stop allowing pharmaceutical companies to market to the masses directly and prevent prescription drug overdose. That alone could save thousands of lives.

Perhaps these same politicians could have been as vocal in their objections when the U.S. Military was dropping tons of depleted uranium shells in Iraq which has caused 14 times more birth defects than the Nukes dropped on Japan.

MDMA in a pure form is not dangerous, it comes from the safrole plant. If this were legalized and In a controlled pharmaceutical environment rather than black market criminals cutting drugs with fuck knows what selling it off as MDMA and all sorts of things destroying lives like these ones. The world would be a much better place, MDMA and cannabis are much safer than alcohol

sad part is – they probably had bunk drugs – MDMA mixed w/ God knows what else – yet since the medical examiner found MDMA it’s MDMA – it couldn’t have been all the other crap it was cut with to sell on the street and make a quick buck……. DUMB – the medical examiner probably put in his report there were other drugs in their systems – but the media just saw MDMA and now is going to have a field day w/ it….
They seem to completely over look they found meth in Jeffrey’s pocket and MDMA and meth test the same on most tests. There’s a lot of bad designer stuff going around lately, I highly doubt the accuracy of this headline. Government wants to find a way to demonize MDMA even though if you look at the amount of drinking deaths that happen regularly at like a country music festival is ridiculous. If you look up the statistics, it something like you have a 1000 times greater chance of overdosing and dying from alcohol than MDMA.
