Detroit’s Movement Festival has become a beacon hope for the challenged city, honoring the house and techno roots Detroit founded. The majesty of Movement is how it books both the most seasoned veterans who have lived through all of electronic dance’s history, to the newcomers coming to Detroit for the first time. The diversity this festival offered last year was a strong selling point, attracting over one hundred thousand people to its Hart Plaza locale.
The festival will take place over Memorial Day weekend, May 24-26th in 2014. Line ups are not available, but the legends of Detroit will definitely be in attendance alongside all the young acts we’ve come to love these past few years.
