Porter Robinson Says New Album is “Not Standard DJ Music”

Porter Robinson is one of electronic music’s most promising young talents. He has not released an album since his debut Spitfire EP on Skrillex’s OWSLA label in 2011. Having just celebrated his 21st birthday last month, Porter says he has new music on the way. “Not saying i wrote ‘the next level’ for edm fans,” Porter tweeted, “instead, i wrote songs.” He says that the music on the album is “not standard dj music” but is instead “music that’s personal.”
