It has been a long time since we have received a solid album or even an EP from the frontman of dubstep, Skrillex. He left us with his Leaving EP earlier this year as well as the Bangarang EP over a year ago and since then has released various singles, remixes and the Dog Blood project that was never fully fulfilled because of the album leak. Well Skrillex just announced that he will be performing Reading and Leeds Festival this weekend where he will debut some new tunes! Now here is the most exciting part: When Skrillex sat down with BBC Radio 1 this past week to talk about this upcoming festival he announced that, “he has more than one album of music to release and is just waiting on the format in which he will release the tracks.” When asked for a time frame on the release of this new album, he responded with, “Sooner rather than later, I’d say sooner.” We have no solid dates on releases, but we do have Skrillex’s word, indeed, and he’s always been a straight shooter. We will keep you posted on any updates or previews on one of the most hyped albums to come!

aww man, let’s not get too hypo active on his new releases, people will be expecting another SMANP album, then he will become less popular than he already is if he does not deliver what they expect off him. but you know what, I don’t think he really gives a fuck tbh…. same goes for the label they just put on him in this article.
By frontman he’s right. I hate it too but he’s right. Bauer isn’t good at trap but he’s still the man leading the mainstream into it, kinda like the president is the frontman of the USA, whether u like it or not

Okay people. He’s not “the frontman of dubstep”. He’s not a “complextro artist”. He isn’t defined by any genre. He makes anything and everything from songs like “The Reason” to “Leaving” to “Scary Monsters and Nice Sprites” to “The Devil’s Den”. But, I digress. Who cares about genres? Just enjoy the music, yall <3.
Why does everyone get upset, ya hes brostep and not dubstep but why does it matter that much? You either like his music or you don’t just like any other artist. But its still really stupid that they called him the front man of dubstep, you’d think YourEDM would actually care about EDM.
Fuck Genres, Fuck you skrillex haters… This dude went from pushing buttons on an MPC to spinning 4 decks of CDJS live while live remixing….
For those of you that have no clue what that means, he went from doing minimal work on stage to throwing the fuck down, slaughtering electro, complextro, dubstep, whatever, while converting people I knew who previously hated Skrillex into believers.

I do however disagree with the “Frontman of Dubstep” Thing… To me that belongs to Skream, Benga, Caspa, Artists like that who were doing dubstep way before the name “Skrillex” existed!
Tell everyone to stop hating. He has seen more success than any other DJ when it comes to Dubstep so it rightfully is his genre as trance is Armin’s. anyway, just wanted to say I love this blog. You guys keep me up to date way before anyone else finds out :). Keep up the good work!!!
