One of the key breakout genres of this year in dance is affirmatively trap music. This genre has been particularly over saturated as a result though, so when a trap track that truly shines is released, the community takes notice. This is one of those tracks. The tour DJ for Pharrell Williams and rising star in her own right, Jack Novak, worked with Baby E. on new trap song “I Know Sosa“. The title itself alludes to a line in “Tony Montana” by rappers Future and Drake, with this specific section of the original rap tune repeated throughout in a pitched up fashion. The samples do not end there either- they also borrow a section of Juicy J‘s famous “Bandz A Make Her Dance” too. While these references surely will grab the attention of rap fans, the synths and drops in this track are bound to get a crowd hyped. Jack Novak and Baby E.‘s collision of rap samples and hot leads is exactly what trap music fans are looking for.
If all of this was not enough, the track is available as a free download here and includes an accompanying tripped-out video after the jump.
