Nicky Romero & Krewella – Legacy (Remixes) [Protocol Recordings]

legacy-remixes-youredm

The remixes to Nicky Romero and Krewella‘s Beatport chart topper Legacy are finally here for us to enjoy; I don’t know about you guys, but I think I prefer all of these to the original. The first remix is Candyland‘s OG (trap) remix and it might be just be my favorite off of the release; it brings this really weird and funky vibe to the table and I can’t seem to get enough of it! Next up is Don Diablo‘s remix featuring Sway, which is good in it’s own right, but feels like its lacking that something special, especially coming right after Candyland‘s much groovier remix. I also feel as though Sway‘s verse doesn’t really fit into the context of the rest of the track, besides the fact that it’s a trap remix; if that’s the only reason you’re adding a rap verse to a track, then I think it would probably be better off without it. The third remix is Vicetone‘s, which turns the original it into the banging progressive house monster it should’ve been. I realize that the original version was #1 on Beatport for a while, but feel like it never really drops; that definitely isn’t the case with the Vicetone remix, which has a more thanks the the powerful lead synths. Last but not least, we have a hardstyle remix coming coming from Wildstylez. This one is my favorite off of the release besides Candyland‘s remix thanks to the pumping bass drum and melodic synths make it the most energetic and hardest track of the bunch by far! So you’ve heard my two cents, which remix do you like best?
