When ToolRoom Records released Downpipe almost four years ago the track received a high level of attention, and with good reason sustained that level of interest over the years. So when Mark Knight’s label announced the Anniversary Remix collection, an official Downpipe remix seemed likely. A remix from trance legend Armin van Buuren though comes as a fantastic ode to a track that most have in their library.
Created with the trance and house feel of Armin’s more recent projects, the Downpipe remix is facilitated forward with rhythmic melodies and intense synths. A combination that ultimately recreates the tech house original in a way which pays homage to its initial release four years ago.
