Nicky Romero & Krewella’s Legacy Gets A Facelift

legacy-remixes-youredm

In all honesty I was never a huge fan of the original version of “Legacy.” Don’t get me wrong, I love the vocals, but the rest of the track feels kind of empty to me; I feel like it’s missing that X factor that made me instantly fall in love with a song like “Technicolor” by Madeon, which I still can’t listen to without getting goosebumps every time. As a result of this, I’ve been patiently waiting for the remix pack to come out and now we finally have a preview of what those remixes are going to sound like. Vicetone‘s remix is still house like the original but brings a lot more energy to the table, especially after it drops, while Wildstylez‘ hardstyle version takes that energy to a whole different level. The last two remixes from Don Diablo and Candyland are both very trap-influenced, which probably explains why I like them so much. Be on the lookout for this remix pack, which is coming out on Protocol Records on August 19th.
