Axwell’s “Center of the Universe” has already wow’d crowds worldwide with its sensational melodies fused with a traditional prog house sound. He’s just released the remix package featuring a sensational assortment of drum and bass as well as a roaring appearance from Dyro. The Holland superstar kicks off this EP with a warm buildup as Carlson’s voice places you in the center of the song. Although this remix is definitely a smash, its chemistry bears resemblance to Madeon and his remix to Solveig’s “The Night Out” as the kick and snare thunder similarly through the drop while a square synth remains forefront. It’s without a doubt a good remix, but not something that I thought resembled Dyro’s style.
Koncept concludes the EP with two Drum and Bass remixes that offer a more ambient and enjoyable take on “Center of the Universe”. His dub version is my personal favorite that compliments the original with a heavy yet reserved sound that allows you to relax, close your eyes, and float alongside the song.
