A man with a seemingly golden touch when it comes to crafting proper house music, Federico Scavo has given one of his remakes over to Marco Lys. “Pra Nao Dizer Que Nao Falei Das Flores” (also known as “Caminhando“) was originally a 1960’s song from Brazilian singer songwriter Geraldo Vandré, a call-to-arms to oppose the Brazilian dictatorship of the time. Federico Scavo‘s house remake was released in early 2012 on Italian label Hotfingers, with this remix by Marco Lys being released some eighteen months later on Area 94. Marco Lys churned out a tech version for this one, percussion heavy to keep the dancefloor rhythm in motion. He then later adds in some darker synth bassline effects that helps the drums out by wobbling back and forth in the background. The breakdowns take it back to Geraldo Vandré original with the vocals and guitar intact, a sample any fan of South American music will know and love. The Marco Lys remix is now available here on Beatport.
