Dutch up and comer, LOOPERS, released a new EP yesterday via the Ones to Watch Record label. The EP titled, Propaganda, features 3 tracks, one of which is a collaboration with Kid Kaio, another Dutch producer. It’s difficult to refer to LOOPERS’ as an up and comer, because in reality he has already received recognition from many of the top DJ’s and producers.
A few years ago some of LOOPERS’ tracks were included in Laidback Lukes top 10 chart, and there has been no looking back since. After signing to Mixmash Records, and specifically the OTW label, Loopers has released tracks via Spinnin’, Cr2, and Smash the House.
The Propaganda EP evokes different feelings with each listen. ‘Nobody’, is a high energy track that will continue on the success of LOOPERS’ many club and festival bangers, the keyboard riffs that will entice any crowd. Listen closely because there is a sample you’ve probably heard before as well.
The EP title track, ‘Propaganda’, starts with a low key feel, then erupts into LOOPERS’ unique electro house style. The underlying piano tone that follows the sharp synth is really cool, and creates an eerie segue in between the heftier sections.
My favorite track is the collaboration with Kid Kaio, ‘Flashbang’. Prolonged technical sections make it easy to hear that these two really are talented musicians. Great chords, offbeats, undertones, and a catchy melody, lead me to believe this song you’ll hear a lot in other DJ’s sets.
If you check out LOOPERS’ Soundcloud, you’ll see the small blurb, “Let my music speak”. Maybe I should have taken the hint, but I do encourage that everyone listen to the EP, and if you like it as much as I do, then buy it over at Beatport.

Ahhh…. One doesn’t hear electro like this much anymore.
