Dirtybird labelhead Claude VonStroke has shared a glimpse into what to expect on his third album, Urban Animal. The two tracks are titled “Can’t Wait” and “The Clapping Track“, both due out on August 6th. The two tracks are much akin the album art, both images of a Detroit past and present in their own respects. “Can’t Wait” is chilled out, yet still has enough spark to make it playable in the club, similar to “Tonight” from Eliot Lipp. “The Clapping Track” has an intriguing backstory, Claude VonStroke disassembles sixteen hand claps and then brings them back together as the track builds. The organ is perfect for fitting into the industrial, city nature of old school house records. Based on these two previews, Urban Animal is bound to be an exciting new collection of house, look for it when it drops September 17th.
nice tracks, love the older stuff by him.
