Often times in electronic music, one of the most provocative and powerful mechanisms to build hype around a project or group is to shroud said entity with a certain amount of mystery. Whether it be the true identity of ƱZ or even the artist behind an unidentified track in a DJ set, the excitement of the unknown is not something to be underestimated.
Phuture Doom, the most recent mystery spawning from the ever so popular OWSLA camp, has released yet another track which one would assume to be part of their forthcoming EP, Nightfall, which is set for release on July 23rd. In similar fashion to their previous tracks, “Hans Breaks” blends elements of heavy bass with acidic beats and eerie sampling to further push and personify their signature sound.
