Rob Swire, of Knife Party and Pendulum, announced on his Twitter earlier that he will be taking a six month hiatus from live performances in order to focus on writing music. This announcement was coupled with several others relaying Swire‘s opinions on the industry. Stating that musical production has become a side-note in the industry, he voiced his displeasure at the current focus of the industry. The Australian also noted that he no longer has time to write music due to his busy live schedule and that the time off will be spent producing.

So, it seems that we most likely won’t be seeing much of Knife Party in the coming months, which is unfortunate news to a degree. But on the other hand we can definitely expect upcoming releases. Read his tweets below and let us whether you are excited or disappointed by his decision.
