Nielsen’s system that keeps track of all music related data, SoundScan, has just released the mid year top 20 selling albums as well as the mid year top 20 selling digital songs. Amongst that list, you can find unsurprising results, such as Justin Timberlake’s The 20/20 Experience (only album to have sold over 2 million) as well as Daft Punk’s Random Access Memories coming in at number 10. Interestingly enough, as noted by Billboard, album sales have dropped a good 6% this year versus the same time span last year, with 142 million albums selling in 2013 compared to 150.5 during the first half of 2012. Let us know your thoughts on the list in the comment section.

Where is Get Lucky?
Keep in mind that this is for the last 6 months. Get Lucky has been made available on April 19th, so Daft Punk still has some catching up to do. Although by the end of the year they will definitely be in the top 10.
Get Luky must be the song of the year, like it or not..
Oh…mainstream charts, yeah that’s dance music alright…..*unlikes youredm page*.
It sort of came out almost three months ago, and EVERYBODY has put an album out since then.
Yeah I thought of that after commenting haha.
It’s digital songs purchased, don’t be such a cry baby. http://i.imgur.com/Pp3CfVm.jpg <– There you go. If he only posted shit about EDM all the time, had no variety, I probably wouldn't come on here. So shatap. Also, shut up with all the mainstream shit, you fucking hipsters piss me off, it's not "mainstream", if it's good enough to make millions, then guess what, it's just good music that people can jive too. Get off your high horse and come down to a regular persons level.
