For the past two years, Calvin Harris has been plaguing the charts with bland ‘throw your hands in the air’ material from his smash hit album 18 months. Popstars such as Ellie Goulding, Ne-yo and even Rihanna have all taken a ride on the Calvin gravy train with several hit singles. Now the Scottish superstar has announced plans to drop the eighth and final single Thinking About You.
The single carries on in his usual, euphoric inimitable formula but Laidback Luke appears to have bigger fish to fry. His remix begins in an almost similar fashion to the original and appears to be a quite pointless reworking. But those thoughts don’t last for long. The single is one of the best efforts from the album and the remix compliments it with a much harder, clever edge.
Overall the remix is a lot of fun and will probably generate a lot of interest once the original drops in July, which you can watch here.
this drop would work better with pretty much any other vocal ever made.
