Azealia Banks To Work With Disclosure

Disclosure-Settle-youredm

Disclosure are no strangers to taking on collaborators. British artists such as Jessie Ware, AlunaGeorge, Eliza Doolittle and Sam Smith all worked on the debut LP Settle and helped produce several hit singles. With their overnight success Disclosure now appear to be setting their sights to across the pond.

Azealia Banks has been dropping hints on her Twitter account and has revealed that she’s going to join Disclosure’s already impressive roster. The rapper tweeted yesterday: “Just had an amazing session with @disclosure !!!!” Just before that tweet, she had written: “About to enter the greatest studio session EVAR. !!!!!”

She has also tweeted that her album is ‘80% finished’, that it will contain 16 songs (including 212) and that she worked with Pharrell Williams on her next single, ‘ATM JAM.’ We feel that perhaps even more about her debut will be announced in the future, as she has wrote, “Dope collabs, new producers, new songs, new artwork NEW NEW NEW.” It’s been a long time coming.

UPDATE: Disclosure spoke out on the matter, stating:

“We don’t have a song with her yet. We’ve met her once. I think she’s kind of taken to Twitter quite heavily with the fact that she’s meeting with us. And people now think that we’ve made the greatest song of all time, and it doesn’t even actually have a chorus yet.”

“All these blogs think we’ve now made a masterpiece, but really, we just sat there eating sushi.”

While there might be something in the works in the long run, it doesn’t seem like any of us should be awaiting this collaboration any time soon.
