One of the most famous and successful stand-bys in dance music, Moby wants to give back to “the little guy.” Developed about four years ago, Moby Gratis is dedicated to sharing his music for free to indie filmmakers, film students and non-profit organizations. Any time the music is used for profit work however, all the funds are given to the Humane Society and not Moby himself. The catalog of available Moby tracks has now expanded to over 150. From tracks off of Destroyed to 18 and even unreleased material, Moby has given away work that can fit any type of mood or theme. As both a fan of dance music and a television student, I admire Moby for his open approach on the use of his music.
