Flirting with the definitions of genres such as deep house, indie dance and nu-disco, rising synth-pop trio RUFUS are back again in attempts to quell the hoards of clamoring fans who just can’t seem to get enough of their music. Their first single, “Take Me” was a shimmery house record that exemplified the cherished sounds of summer and appropriately sky rocketed the group directly into the limelight. “Desert Night”, the group’s second single on the other hand, layers wistful vocals over a combination of supple pads, horns, and percussive instruments to create an emotional blend of genres.
