After a week of teasing big news both OWSLA and Rusko surprise the EDM world by announcing that Rusko will joining the dogs over at OWSLA. A music label dedicated to releasing quality and interesting music, Skrillex’s imprint, OWSLA, has been on a rapid rise to the top with the introduction of their NEST subscription service.

A year after the self released ep KAPOW, Rusko returns with an interesting and easily-groovable Drum and Bass track titled, “Takeoff”. By sampling Jay-Z’s “Encore” on Takeoff, it’s easily apparent that Rusko means business and he even says so himself:

“I grew up listening to drum-and-bass and jungle music,” Rusko tells Rolling Stone. “I felt it was time to reflect this by making some of my very own. This really is the definition of music from the heart.”

You can stream the track here and be ready for his Lift Me Up EP to drop on July 2nd!
