People are so riled up about the past events surrounding the poorly executed Ultra Music Festival ticket sale, that they’ve created a “Boycott Ultra Music Festival” facebook group. In the span of 3 short days, the page has accumulated over 7,000 followers and appears to be maintaining a good amount of steam. Just to quickly summarize in case you haven’t been following the recent events, Ultra Music Festival kicked off their ticket sale by first introducing an early bird pricing ($149) which sold out in apparently 4 minutes, although it’s difficult to tell whether that statement is accurate as the servers were down for a good chunk of the time. After offering another batch of tickets at a reduced pricing a few hours later, Ultra dropped the bomb. Ultra Music Festival revealed the true pricing of its GA tickets at a whooping $399. 399 isn’t so bad you might say, but add questionable service fees and taxes on top of that and you end up with a $490 ticket. Now whether it is because of the poor server set up that they had so boastfully advertised, or the ridiculous price hike, or a combination of all the factors, people are obviously angry.
Also I would like to put something out there, ever wonder why Ultra Music Festival decided to begin their ticket sale (with such high ticket price) so early compared to past years? I wonder how indebted they are…

well every name on the line up is huge.. they are going to have to pay each at least 15 gs.. plus its a smaller area(in downtown from what I gather) so of course each person is going to have to pay 500.. and if the early birds sell out that fast they can over charge merely because so many people want to go.. if you don’t like it don’t go but I don’t see the point of hating on it that’s all I’m sayin.. peace and love!
It’s morons like you that are the reason prices are so high
of the line up of last years ultra it is worth the price. shame the sets weren’t great. two weekends of festival for $500 IMO definitely worth it. If you don’t wanna pay the price unfortunately the worlds biggest lineup isn’t on your agenda this year. go to a different festival… been to tomorrow land, EDC NYC, EDC vegas, AND ULTRA and edc Vegas is the best experience anyway.
15gs? I believe Bassnector requires 80k, so do the math for everyone else.
festivals are huge promo for these artists. They definitely aren’t paying bassnector 80gs lol.
I have to agree with Michael Tillis….Artists like Bassnectar and Krewella are just plain out sick with their art….Music is art no matter how you try to justify it and technically spending 500 on a ticket to listen and feel and tune in to this wavelength style of art is just simply amazing…. Don’t boycott something that you know you also are into….
First of all “David” he was pointing out the truth its fucking dumb but fuck fag idiots like you that put other people down for pointing out whats true, dont like prices go somewhere else nuff said Bitch.

the same should be done with tomorrowland!

I would like to mention that ultra made an estimated 30 million off their double weekend last year and only paid around 1.2 million in fees to rent the park, all the security and fines they accrued. That doesnt even include $60 t-shirts, $12 beers and liquor sales. High prices are one thing but “crashing servers” and ticket sales almost a year in advance is what makes this all so shady, why are they so desperate to sell out? My guess is so they can get the push for another second weekend but asking your massive fan base to shell out that much money so far in advance is obsured. You buy tickets in the fall/winter and festival all summer. You can go to tomorrowworld plus dreamville (the camping site) over 5 days for less than 400 with taxes. #fuckultra
