As more information comes in from the International Music Summit in Ibiza, it is confirmed that Nile Rodgers will be collaborating with Avicii, David Guetta, Chase & Status, Giorgio Moroder, and Disclosure. In the conference, Nile Rodgers discussed his recent work with some of the artists and how he is very excited to start churning out new music. When discussing his collaboration with Avicii, Rodgers described him as: “One of my favorite songwriting partners I’ve had in a long time. I have so much respect for him.”
Avicii was not the only artist Nile was excited to talk about; He also had a lot to say about working with David Guetta: “It was unbelievable, we went until 2 in the morning, and Arthur Baker and Taylor Dayne popped by – it felt like it was if we were back in the ’80s. And we laughed and said, ‘If this was the old days, we would take this rough mix and rush down to Paradise Garage and play it, see how it worked on the crowd before we finished the record.”
Although all of these collaborations are in their earlier stages, it is exciting news to see music legends such as Nile Rodgers working with some of the top talent in the current scene. We will keep you posted on his collaborations as more information is revealed!
