Out today on No Tomorrow Recordings, Zomboy‘s Here To Stay featuring Lady Chann gets the royal remix treatment. The EP, consisting of five tracks, is near perfection. Delta Heavy, Buku, Astronaut, and JumoDaddy all absolutely nail their respective remixes with JumoDaddy being the winner of the remix competition. You can stream the entire EP down below.

The reason behind the 8 out of 10 is that despite being a remix EP, each track manages to still achieve originality and creativity as well as still capturing the energy of the original. The reason why it isn’t a 9 out of 10 is simply because it is a remix EP, thus limiting the amount of creativity for the remix. Releases and EP’s are much more likely to achieve higher ratings not based on the remixes but based on complete originality. (Achieving 10 out of 10 would be best left to releases who truly are worthy of the term, “Perfect”.)
