Troy Carter, Lady Gaga’s manager, recently signed dubstep violinist Lindsey Stirling. For those of you who don’t remember, Lindsey Stirling rocked the world with her video, Crystallize, which now has over 54,000,000 views on youtube.

Landing amongst the top 10 videos played of 2012, this 26 year old super star has found a new niche of music that is both innovative and lucrative. Lindsey Stirling’s skills quickly jumped off of the youtube channel when she completed a sold-out tour in Europe and her album sold over 100,000 copies. When asked, Carter explained his reasoning behind signing the young violinist:

“By looking at the numbers, automatically you could see this girl knew how to move the needle and understood YouTube was a venue to engage fans both online and offline.”

A smart signing by Gaga’s manager and even better exposure for Lindsey Stirling. With a manager who represents one of the most powerful music stars, Lindsey Stirling will be able to flourish on the scale she deserves. If you have been living under a rock for the last year and missed her viral video, make sure to check it out below!
