For those of you who are unfamiliar with the name Donkong, get ready for some massive-sounding innovative music from this up and coming duo out of Germany. Producers such as Donkong, who only started releasing music last year, are what keeps me loving the new sounds this blend of dubstep and trap can bring to us.
With their signature basstrap fusion sound they call “molly grit”, the duo hit the jackpot with their recent Jaws EP, released off Play Me Records a few weeks back. “Jaws” starts out with a dirty low bassline that builds into a heavy drummed break down that instantly had me hooked. Much of their music accentuates that awesome moombahton, jungle-like bass, and boy do they work that well.
