Social media giant, Twitter, is scheduled to release a new music streaming service within the next few months. Coming in the form of a phone app, Twitter will be launching a personalized music streaming program that will serve as a music discovery service. Under the name of Twitter Music, the app will allow users to share recommended artists with others, and also serve as a platform to find new music through the power of Twitter’s social media hold. This is a significant step for Twitter as they move to profit from new online social media niches.
