ThreeSixty & Dirty Harris – Avalon (Original Mix) [Maquina Music]

When it comes to crafting groovy house music, it seems the good folks in the UK still know a thing or two.  Manchester-based duo ThreeSixty and Birmingham native Dirty Harris have come together to create an infectious house collaboration.  “Avalon,” released off of Maquina Music, is progressive house with a classic twist.  A rhythmic, techy opening gradually shifts into a more progressive-sounding arrangement, with bright synth chords and rhythmic percussion adding to the immense groove.  The main breakdown is when the track’s elements really start to shine, as bright synth chords create an uplifting progression that is added to throughout the build.  The last segment solidifies the track as a progressive/tech house anthem, with the chord progression sharing the spotlight with a deep bassline and some tight percussion–complete with some vintage hi-hats.

All in all, this is one of the more original tracks to come along so far this year.  Avalon (Original Mix) is in a class of its own, a seamless blend of progressive and tech house elements.  ThreeSixty and Dirty Harris have produced a truly authentic collab–you’ll definitely be hearing this one come festival season.  Pick up your copy today.
