Hard Rock Sofa came out with some monster hits in 2012 like Starlight, their mix of Just One Last Time, and of course Here We Go. Their remix of Years has set the bar high for their 2013 campaign, but they seem to be up to the challenge to top 2012. Today marked the release of their new single off Axtone called Rasputin. Fast paced and heavy, Rasputin is packed with endless build ups and bass loaded drops. Their mid-track breakdown has a great big room feel that’s sure to be a hit in raves from Moscow to Miami. I wonder if the song has anything to do with Grigori Rasputin, known as the “mad monk” in Russia in the early 1900s? They’re producing some insane, righteous beats so it’s definitely a possibility.
