Hailing up from Norway, Lemaitre has been blasting into the scene with a slew of tracks against the grain of what would be conventionally called EDM. Instead of being influenced by the Hardwell‘s, Tiesto‘s and Sander van Doorn‘s of today’s EDM stars, these young lads look towards the unconventional, with such iconic trendsetters such as Daft Punk, Crystal Castles, Justice and Ratatat. And this combined influences has caused them to create a unique and unusual sound to each of their productions. And now, after seeing the vastly original collaboration between two of the biggest innovators of the scene (Mat Zo & Porter Robinson), they have set their sights on making the huge anthem, Easy into a symbolic homage to these great, game changing artists.

Lemaitre starts off by turning up the levels of funkiness to dangerous levels with low, boomy basses and fresh liquidfied synths (as the iconic lyrics come into play). These two do a fantastic job of completely changing up the entire feel of a track while preserving the main integrity of the lyrics. But instead of maintaining the chill vibe, the two break out their Electro guns while maintaining a glitch-like sense of sensibility to make a cool, out of the ordinary Electro-funk track. The breakdown includes a gorgeous piano while some original synths riff off in the background; (meanwhile, the lyrics cascade throughout the soundscape). Pulling some unorthodox synths to emulate the Original’s calming chords, it pulls back to the Electro Funk to create a seriously delicious cut for listeners of all tastes to satisfyingly treat on. Lemaitre‘s awesome remix of Mat Zo & Porter Robinson‘s Easy will be available to download on Anjunabeats and Ministry Of Sound on April 14th, so make sure you keep this track locked down, fans!
