It always makes me happy when an artist is able to turn an unfortunate situation into a positive one, and that is what Major Lazer just did. The group’s second album, Free The Universe, is coming out soon but they just announced that they now must push the release date back for reasons beyond their control. This is bad news for all fans who were getting excited about the album, but to reconcile the situation they are giving away a free gift that more than makes up for the delay. They just dropped Lazer Strikes Back Vol. 1, which includes remixes of some of the albums tracks by the likes of Jack Beats, DGRC, and Yellow Claw, and a Major Lazer remix of Hot Chip.
