The A State of Trance tour anthems are always long awaited, and for a good reason; they have been massive tracks by world renowned producers. The anthem for The Expedition is no different. It is a huge track (a banger if you will) collaborated on by Armin van Buuren and Markus Schulz. “Ever since the very first time I played it…the crowd went wild” said Schulz in an interview with Armin on the A State of Trance radio show. Armin van Buuren says that he thinks one of the cooler parts of the song is that you can hear both his sound and Markus Schulz‘s sound in The Expedition.
Armin van Buuren asked Markus Schulz what he felt made a good anthem. This is what Schulz had to say: “A good anthem has to have a lot of drive and it also has to have that epic moment where people feel the euphoria and then it has to have that release…an anthem has to have everything, it has to kind of tell the story of that whole night in that one little part, in that one song.” 
The two of them did a superb job on this track. It fits all of Markus Schulz‘s criteria for an anthem; has its drive, epic moment, euphoria and release.
