Billboard Launches New Dance/Electronic Song Charts

International music and media group Billboard have launched a new Dance/Electronic song chart to compliment their world-famous Billboard Hot 100 chart. To organize the list, they will compile data from digital download sales, radio play, online streams, and club play from a selected panel of 140 US DJs. The chart debuted with Will.I.Am and Britney SpearsScream And Shout as #1, followed by Swedish House Mafia‘s Don’t You Worry Child. When it comes down to it, I don’t think we’ll see too many tracks crossing over in Beatport top charts and on Billboard aside from major releases on big labels.
