After their infinitely groovy collaboration, Static, Tommy Lee & DJ Aero have teamed up again for another very impressive set of collaborations. The #MSND (Move Shake Now Drop) EP was released today via mau5trap and when it comes to electro house the title track is one of the most original I’ve heard in quite some time. #MSND is electro house meets minimal dutch house and I feel it is going to be unstoppable when it comes to getting the dance floor going. For the second track, The Rules, they enlisted deadmau5 affiliate SOFI and crafted a super funky nu disco tune, which is something I always appreciate when done correctly. I actually prefer SOFI’s voice when singing on tracks like this compared with something like SOFI Needs A Ladder. Finally, wrapping things up is the very deadmau5 crunchy bass influenced Party People, which features Orifice Vulgatron of Foreign Beggars on vocals. Party People is electro house with hints of techno sprinkled on top, a perfect bouncy party starting anthem. Each track on the EP is distinct from the others making it an enjoyable and diverse listen all the way through.
