Delta Heavy – Empire [RAM Records] [Free Download]

2012 was a big year for UK-based Delta Heavy. Their Must Be The Feeling remix got played out for months in just about every bass music DJ’s live sets and they gained much notoriety touring alongside Datsik during his Firepower Records tour. I had the pleasure of catching Delta Heavy at Sunrise Festival in San Jose last year and although only one of the members was present it was an expertly-DJ’ed and extremely varied set. Their first release of 2013 continues on that moombahcore trend and is a heavy track by the name of Empire. The dubstep influences shine on Empire giving it a hard and powerful edge while the track’s 110 bpm tempo give it that added danceable bounce.
