We all know Daft Punk rumors are a dime-a-dozen now that they’ve been on such an extended hiatus. Every year, especially with Coachella on the horizon, tour rumors begin to circulate and thousands of fans eagerly get their hopes up only to be slapped with a reality check when the lineup is revealed. We don’t want to make the claim that they will tour this year, but according to legendary funk man Nile Rodgers, “the next time I set foot in Japan, my collaboration with Daft Punk would have started to hit people’s eardrums.” The blog post, titled “2013 Won’t Be Boring,” certainly hints that his return to Japan will be sometime this year. Here’s to hoping that this will be one rumor that actually amounts to something.
