When it comes to true big room tracks, very few do it bigger than Floridian duo GTA. Comprised of producers JWLS and Van Toth, GTA have been making some absolutely dirty tunes that are explosive in a big room atmosphere. I thought their recent People Boots EP on Rising Music was fantastic, and I think the Ai Novinha EP is somehow even better. The original mix of Ai Novinha fuses tribal elements, dark rave synths, and a skullcrushing drop which sets the energy level to 11. They also included a transitional 128bpm – 145bpm mix of the track, switching things up with a wild dubstep drop the second time around, Moska‘s remix of the track adds an industrial sounding synth and taking things down a different path. The B-side, Bath Salts, is heavy on the 80’s influence, but at the same time comes with mind blowing wobbly drops as well. Grab your copy of the EP, out on Mixmash Records now.
