On Saturday evening I had the pleasure to join the masses of fans who poured in through doors at the Bluebird Theater in Denver, Colorado to witness one of the most high-energy and ear-shattering events of my life. Being a smaller venue the Bluebird offers a remarkably intimate setting which seems to add something special to each and every performance. Receiving support from Badbwoy BMC and Coult 45, the event jolted to a rather striking level of energy and never let up until the conclusion of Zomboy‘s set. In particular, I was extremely impressed by Coult 45‘s opening set. His mixing was on point, his selections were expertly chosen and ultimately his set created a perfect foundation from which Zomboy was able to start his performance. As Zomboy took the stage the energy in the venue was almost palpable and from the second Zomboy began his set the entire audience was simply rowdy. Mixing through his own personal discography while simultaneously highlighting of some of the freshest selections from other artists, Zomboy‘s set was fierce, unrelenting, and in my opinion nothing short of perfection. All in all, it’s events like this that truly re-kindle my love for bass music and its culture. All aspects of the show were fantastic and I can’t thank Sub.Mission Dubstep enough for hosting yet another spectacular event.

On a slightly different accord, seeing as it is the final day of the year and that Decadence NYE is only hours away I wanted to take one last moment to encourage all who are in the Denver area to come out and indulge. Decadence NYE is the largest New Years Eve EDM event in the city which is being co-hosted by Sub.Mission & Triad Dragons and is hands down the most luxurious way to celebrate the coming year. If you haven’t already, make sure to jump over to my preview of the event and grab your tickets! Hope to see you there!
