DKS – Can’t Get Enough EP [Firepower Records]

The latest addition to Datsik‘s impressive roster of Firepower Records artists is DKS out of the UK. Although he’s only 19 years old, he’s already gotten himself support from Benga, Skream, Rusko, Emalkay, and more. There was a period of time earlier this year where I was getting somewhat bored with dubstep, but artists like DKS have helped restore my faith in the genre. His Can’t Get Enough EP has something for just about every type of dubstep fan. The title track, Can’t Get Enough, is as deep as it is hard and grimey, the vocal sample gives it the extra ‘umph’ it needs and everything about the track feels complete. You can feel the liquid influence on String Theory and Monster, each balancing on that fine line between melodic and dirty. I Know reminds me a bit of Kito & Reija Lee‘s classic, Sweet Talk, but with bigger synths and more club ready. All in all, if you love dubstep I urge you to check this EP out.
