Recently, I have been more and more impressed with the entries to Beatport Play‘s remix competitions. Detroit-based Butch Clancy recently won the competition for Zeds Dead & Omar Linx‘s Cowboy, and his winning submission was just released on Ultra today. He seriously knocked the ball out of the park on this one. He pairs Omar’s rough vocals with fresh-sounding dubstep squelches and wobbles and the resulting track is up to par with if not better than the original.
