You Might Have Missed 002: Boris Dlugosch, D-Jastic, Disco Weirdos

Boris Dlogosch - Bangkok Boris Dlogosch - Bangkok

Welcome to You Might Have Missed, my new weekly segment where I’ll be taking things back down memory lane and highlighting older songs that a lot of people either missed, forgot or overlooked. All of these tracks hold some type of special meaning to me, and I hope that you will find them enjoyable too. Let’s get started:

Boris Dlogosch - Bangkok

Bangkok by Boris Dlugosch was one of the hottest records in the electro scene in late 2009 and early 2010. Any time I went to an event this record was getting played out, and for good reason. Funky Dutch house at it’s finest, with great album art to boot.

D-Jastic - Up To No Good

Up To No Good by D-Jastic has always been a hidden gem of sorts to me. To be honest I can’t remember how I first heard it, but it’s one that never ever fails to get people in the crowd moving. Their work with the acid synth is perfect and to me this song never gets old.

Disco Weirdos - Deep Sea Raver

This last one, Deep Sea Raver by Disco Weirdos, is like a piece of a puzzle to me. It came up on my Felguk Pandora station (which is great, by the way)  about 2 years ago and I was absolutely mesmerized by it. A 2 track EP, this and another song, was their only EP and I can’t find any information about them other than that they were from London. They don’t have a Soundcloud or Facebook, so my guess is that they aren’t active any more. Whatever the case, this is one track that never got the exposure it should have. Beautiful spacey progressive electro. It sounds complicated but it is executed oh so well.
