Electro legend Wolfgang Gartner has always taken a bit of an unorthodox approach to the creation of house music, and new EP Casual Encounters of the 3rd Kind is another testament to his unique sound. The space-sex themed EP features two tracks: both Girl on Boy and Girl on Girl are pretty straightfoward Gartner tracks, but Girl on Girl ends up being clearly superior–halfway through its play time, Girl on Boy degenerates into irritating siren samples that become much more of an annoyance than anything else. While Casual Encounters isn’t Gartner‘s best musical outing to date, it will still please fans of this off-kilter electro producer.
